TOPIC:

Standard 1300 fan switch cuts in between 95 & 105.
The temp rating is stamped on the switch itself.
Voyager cuts in a 85............much cooler, much better !!!!

My B2 touring model has a manual fan switch on the fairing. I haven't had the bike long enough to know if that's good or bad. The guy I bought it from said a previous owner thought the fan kicked in too late, so he wanted a manual switch to start cooling the engine earlier. I turned it on a couple time on warm days last fall, sitting at stop lights.

The fan switch can be a good idea depending where you ride. I know Missouri can get pretty warm.

As stated above, the KZ sender is supposed to kick in about 10deg later than the ZN (Voyager) sender.

Thats is my understanding & findings too.

The Fairing version bike kicked in earlier as it retains more hear around the motor due to the fairing & is carrying more weight.

In an ideal world you want a 1300 fan to kick in around 85 degs.

I have fitted a remote variable fan control with a capillary tube in the top hose,
i have left the stat out at the moment as i didnt want a conflict between stat opening temp and fan temp.
i might have to block the bypass tube until im happy with the running
