So, I got my '82 as a "B" model, no regular factory headlight housing.

I really prefer a round headlight, and I already have a round housing that came off of a KZ1300, but I'm still curious if any of the line ever came with a round one from the factory. I know mine came with a more standard fuel tank, so perhaps at some point they went back to a round headlight too?

Mostly just curiosity.

Thanks, Richard

From what I've seen, a round headlight was never a stock option.

That being said, it's your bike- there's nothing wrong with fitting one, and I've seen quite a few snazzy looking bikes that have them. Go for it!

That's pretty much exactly where my head is at with this build. For me, I've wanted a KZ1300 from the day I read about them as a freshman in college, but the drivetrain has always been the star. My goal is to simplify, lighten, and save the rare parts for the restorers.
