Scotch of Course !!   (Let's just say it wasn't Kawboy)

Yes , your ballast checks out so probably test the pulser coils as per service manual.

Thanks for the help so far guys:

I'm kind of new to the electrical system on the kz1300 so pardon me if I struggle with the terms you guys are using. Scott refers to ignition trigger and Kawboy refers to pulser coils. Are these one in the same?

It took some digging but I finally figured out what I believe the pulser coils (pickup coils in the manual) are.

Attachment not found

I followed the wires back to the IC ignitor and disconnected them.

Attachment not found

I then set my multimeter to max ohm of 2000 and tested the following connections:

Green -> Light Green = 451
Red -> Yellow = 423
Blue-> Black = 419

The specs according to the manual say they should read between 360 to 540 ohms. So again, it appears the pulser coils are ok.

Basically what I've tested so far plugs->Ignition Coils->Ballast Resistor->Pickup Coils.

Whats next, the IC Ignitor?

If so, can you still get them?  Could it be anything else?

RE: Terminology ?  Ignition-triggers vs. Pulser coils.  Yes - the same thing.
I think Kawboy uses his terminology from his days apprenticing with Nikola Tesla!
where's those emoji's???

Thanks Scotch,

BTW, I started going through the manual to see how to troubleshoot the IC Igniter.  In it they said:

5. Ignition system wiring check
    a) Reconnect all leads and connectors
    b) connect multi-meter to IC Igniter leads, turn on ignition switch and note readings with engine stopped.
    c) with meter set to 20V
     1) On Larger connector test (+ Yellow/Black, Black, green,  Blue) and (- ground)  to battery voltage =  All at11.51 Volts (battery was likely a little low)
    2) On Smaller connector test (+ Black, Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Light Green) and (- ground) to .5 - 1.0 volts
 All tested .8 V EXCEPT the Light Green one. It seemed to momentarily show .1 Volts and then went to 0 volts each time I tried.

So, it's sounding more and more like IC Igniter to me?

P.S. I'm not an emoji kind of dude :)
