So the question is "Did the pickup coil plate realign itself back into the center of the slots?"

Yeh plate is back around the centre, just goes to show how forgiving the old girl is, hopefully no damage done, i'll find out with a ride later today after I go to the dawn service for ANZAC day which is today down under, so to any member reading this who served, thank you for your service, cheers Pete.

Getting old sucks. I'm not even 50 yet and my close up vision is really starting to go. Doctor assures me it is completely within normal parameters but that doesn't make it suck any less.

Just nicely 62 this year and just had to deal with a retina detachment. End result - the eye they fixed lost a slight amount of vision but considering that they blast it with a laser for a total of 1-1/2 hours, not bad. I will need to start wearing glasses full time. Yes definately sucks getting old. Just reinforces the fact that you need to find a passion and follow it where ever it takes you and smile every day. Shit happens and you just need to laugh it off.

The old girl is parked in the shed, not firing on cylinder 1, changed spark plug still no luck, will look at it this weekend, do a compression test and depending how that is decide if it's a valve or valve clearance, might have to take off head if it's bad, fingers crossed it isn't but with my luck it will be, now just have to find a GOOD head gasket, but might wait and see what's wrong with her first, winter is just starting here and it's getting cool of a morning, at least she is considerate that way and gives me a break from riding in the cold :-) :-)
