Hi Gents,

As you may know from my previous posts I've acquired a 1982 A4 to restore but haven't really got started on it. Trying to finish off the Suzuki GT380 before I can fully commit. However, it never came with a battery so ordered a new one and decided to fit it and see if I could get it started. I was informed it ran but not very well. On fitting the battery all I could get working was the rear light and the hazard warning lights. There is no warning lights showing at all on the instrument panel. I've checked the fuses and all appears fine. Is there something obvious I'm missing or does this require more detailed investigation. Intend to spend some time on the bike this coming weekend.

Kind Regards

Martin

Have you checked that all the connectors for the instruments are plugged in?

Hi Hillsy

Thanks for the swift response. I haven't yet but I'll be giving it a good looking over at the weekend. Thought there might be some kind of cut out switch hidden away some where.

I'll have a look at it at the weekend and report my findings.

Have you checked the position of the seat lock key when removed as the lock serves as a type of ign disabler if not in the run position only the taillight and or the hazards will work. Check under the key flap of the side cover and you should see a legend for the key position

Oh yeah - this ^^^

I thought it might not have been your issue because you said you had some lights but pretty sure the park / hazard lights still work even when the cut-out switch is turned off.
