Hi can anyone please tell me if anyone is making aftermarket fuel senders mine started leaking from the signal wire and has been butchered. I missed out on a new one from Zed parts by a day they are sending me a second hand unit and have been very helpful.I might get to ride it one day lol.

How was it butchered? I'd be surprised if it couldn't be repaired. A few pics would be nice to help us understand what you're dealing with.

thanks for the reply they have re soldered the sender wire and then covered it in rt v i peeled it off and the plastic washer is loose have you repaired these before and how because the wire on the inside is very small .The tank is very rusty inside i am going to clean and seal it .I have a z1r that had the same fault i got a new one from web bike.Ill post some pictures soon you have some great ideas and i agree with you when you said don't trust anyone who has worked on your bike because everything that i was told had been done is rubbish.what cam chain tension er modification do you recommend you have been doing great work and posting great threads i dont know were you find the time thanks again Graham

one of the guys on here took his unit to an instrument repair place, people who do speedos and gauges and the like, they did a good job, fixed it right up, i've soldered the fine wire in mine very carefully, but haven't had the plastic washer problem. There is plenty of threads on here about the replacement tensioner you can buy, bolts straight on except you have to cut 10mm off the spring inside the new tensioner, hope it all turns out ok, cheers Pete.
