So, ive removed my ign block and ive found 2 sets of numbers, which one or part of one is the key #?

156-1E92 Going 'bottom to top' at the bottom of the barrel

Z5162 Going across the middle

No idea but I'd recommend just taking the whole part to a locksmith to re-key it.

Yeah, thats what im going to do, i have a blank already, i know the locksmith i use has a programme that tells him, his done a bunch of different older Zed keys for me before, i just dont like turning up completely uneducated ;)

I believe that the Z5162 is the key code the number the number with the "-" is the part number

I think you're right - 5 digits is too short for a Kawasaki part number.

I started stripping mine down last wkn and when I removed the brake light lense there was a brand spanking new Kawasaki key cabled tied to the inside bracket, not sure if original owner put it there or what but a good find
