I've ridin my bike a few times when the temperature was around 35 degrees and the main fuse blew 3 times when down shifting to stop at a red light and stop signs. Would the cold and or down shifting have something to do with the 30 amp fuse blowing?

If you were also braking then I would check the pair of wires from the front brake switch under the fuel tank. I think the pair of wires pass through two bullet connectors. I've had an issue myself in the garage where one was shorting battery to ground when it had been left exposed.

God idea. I'll have to check those connectors. Im almost certain I I was just down shifting and pulling in the clutch when the main fuse blew and cut power to the bike. That's what was so weird about the who thing.

Maybe check the clutch lockout switch wiring from the left hand lever. Maybe someone has modified those two wires so that you don't have to pull the clutch to start the bike?

I soldered the two wires together at the handlebar clutch switch and insulated them. I removed the signal lights fuse and once again the main fuse blew while on a test ride in cold weather while down shifting. I'll have to go through the connectionsundrr the tank again.

I have a couple of questions about your bike? what year and model? Is the thirty amp fuse the only fuse that blows? have you tried not down shifting? does it still blow fuse? and is the battery strapped down in place?

after searching the wiring diagrams brake light switches are not in that circuit.
