So, i went to start checking through the big Zed today, hooked up a charged battery (pillaged from CBX) turned the key and absolutely nothing works apart from the hazard warning lights.

l have the tank, seat, side panels and headlight off, i have checked all the wiring blocks i can see and there are none that are disconnected. none of the fuses above the battery look blown

The key works in the seat and works in the ignition,it turns and ''clicks'' round, but you can pull it out at any stage, i looks like someone might have had a go at it with a screw driver at some stage.........

So, Gents, anyone have had this happen, or any idea where to start looking for the fault/s?

Cheers

Yes, from starting all the way to the left past 'off' and to 'on' (park or lock, cannot remember which one ;), no neutral light, oil light, headlight, rear light absolutely nothing apart from the hazards running the indicators and the direction indicators in the gauge console work

Didnt think about pulling the clutch in will try that

Check the feed to and through the main fuse. The hazards are the only circuit not going through this fuse, so if you have hazards and nothing else, I suspect the feed through the main.
