Hi just getting the big girl together

Normally run a 900r

The switch under the seat I don't seem to have a key for

I have the ignition key that fits the normal way in the traditional position
but it does not work in the main switch under seat / side casing

Is this normal to have 2 X different keys ?

Any easy solution to my woes

Thanks

One key should fit all. Has seat unit lock/switch been changed at some time?

Not sure bike been stripped since late 80s in boxes 1 owner from new

Or though I was told bike was running when stripped

I received it in boxes so have no idea, maybe lock broken when I first put the key the lock turned clock ways but then won't turn at all

Gather youve sprayed with WD40? Had problems with locks b4 and ended up imersing in diesel for a few days and worked.
if that fails. They do come up on ebay.

Agreed. Give it a good soak with penetrating oil. Knowing the way tumbler pins work in a lock, it could just be a stuck pin in the tumbler. Let it soak and once in a while pull the key in and out to move the pins around. It should clear itself if it's tumbled to the same key as the ignition.
