Put my Electrosport stator on today. Its not as wide as the original stator but its for a Touring. People either love or hate Electrosport stators. Problably because its not plug and play. Still waiting on a new regulator..

Replaced my stator and regulator with Electrosport. New Dry cell battery and the bike starts before I can let off the start switch and charges close to 12.5volts. I dont usually shot gun when I troubleshoot but I dont want 35 year old parts to break one by one while im on the road.

New stator and new Regulator and bike is still only charging at 12.8volts. Bike dies after 5 miles of riding because the nrw battery isnt being charged. Before Iose my mind, help a brotha out.

you shouldn't be leaving the driveway until you have 13.6- 14.2 volts at the battery. Any less then that and you've got a charging issue or a very high draw on the battery.

I have questions.
What are you working on? Is it a KZ1300 B model or a Voyager with DFI?
You changed out the rectifier with what? A Kawasaki part or ???
Did you follow the tests as described in the service manual?? I ask this because it verifies the stator windings and the rectifier independently. A leaking diode can cause issues and so can an open circuit diode. Then there's the Zener diode which regulates the voltage. All the tests are described in the service manual. If all the tests appear normal, then the wiring needs to be checked.
