0n the flip side, I haven't been happier with the new Vancouver landscape in years. No traffic, no screaming, no people - almost like the 2000 when I came here.
Not quite, because of the stupid disturbing and reminding me of literary works mentining houses made of glass, the emerald glass condo landscape is an architectural design failure. But mind over matter, I truly enjoy the sudden calmness. Beyond the talk about health of people, but not totally unrelated hearing all the 'stress' people are going through because of isolation, the Hollywood characters acting weird now singing 'imagine no possessions', I find the social distance calming and great. The culture of attitude and go getter deliverance got tested, and I don't give a duck about anxieties this gives to what seems like a pompous spoiled majority. Those who think they are educated about social and political systems, but actually never experienced and true diverse environments. With the oncoming limits on freedoms, people get shocked and the question is if do they realize they have not been protected and had those freedoms as much as they believed they did? The local socialism/communism manifests itself in different ways depending on circumstances. The harsher it gets, the more you get hit. Well, I bet the billions of dollars spent on pampering the Canadian elite, overpaid CE0's, and 'supporting' with hundreds of millions, billions, resources, on worldwide 'good' causes, could be used right now on saving the hard working Canadian citizen? But that's gone, and on top of what we can't handle, there is the perspective of being responsible for handling additional millions of new immigrants and hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossing 'newcomers'. I've always said this, as an immigrant that had to go through a strict application process, like my parents, that the system must first be strong enough to sustain all who are already here, plus some more, before inviting more. Now it's being tested, and all sorts of liberals are going crazy. My take is - chill. Take responsibility, learn, and perhaps adjust your reasoning?

Like I said, in a twisted way, having a pension or financial independence, like the countless Hollywood (North or South) useless, I'd have the best time of my life to be isolated.

To add to the logic I follow.. Considering what the scientists say about this virus, hot it profiliates. Isolation and a person to person distance is the best deterrent. I've always had a tendency to think outside the box. So, while it might be a good crude measure, is hording people into separated by a wall confinements a way to stay safe? Nope! It's a strategy that I would also enforce. But I've always been living on the fringes of what the great brains tell you. You have to distinguish what is w, and what hat sheep will do, and what the master will preach and what you should do. Considering probably 99% will follow some kind of master, the observation room leaves quite a bit to consider. With all the distancine if followed at the extreme by let's say 99%, the best safe isolated place will be to go out and enjoy the social distance in empty streets! So, all the introverts, buckle up, do your part and get out when the time is right. You will prevent way more spread than the bee hives that unfortunately, are a necessary thing and should be enforced by military in my opinion, just because stupid people that run the society and are supposed to be the future, are just this - stupid ignorant selfish little shits living on their cellphones.

The communism we talked about before is just this. Money made by the people are not available when the people neet it. Sound up to date with the 'crisis'? Democracy takes into consideration the future of the people. So the can feel safe. Where is that money, where are those resources? At least in the USA there is a lot of dollar to back this up. In Canada? You can't even describe what a Canadian is anymore! hahahaha There is no plan here, no integration, no unity, and defined by the own words of the PM - diversity is out strength. Translating - the governments strength is no identity.

I agree with much of what you say, Stan.
Here in Britain, we have had years of seemingly unfettered immigration. Britain is quite a small country, now grossly overcrowded in many areas. To make things worse, many of the new arrivals are of an incompatible culture. They might not speak English. What do they bring in terms of benefit to Britain? Nothing, in far too many cases. They often DO bring extended families- many children, mothers, fathers, grandparents, Health problems. Health defects brought about by inter-family breeding. Criminality. Sexual grooming of young British girls on a horrifyingly scale. And yet we, the British, have had all this and more forced upon us, and woe betide us if we dare to express our concern. Despite, it seems, the burden on taxpayers to support these people, Britain continues to pay billions in foreign aid even though we have need of that money for our own people and run-down country.

Tonto - I’d love to see some photos of your KZ1000 engine / bike. Those engines fascinate me. The roller bearing crank is especially impressive. I wonder what the comparative costs were of an engine being made with that type rather than a plain bearing design.

Jim, hi
The Z1000 was a US import in good running order and generally in very good condition - Ive tried to keep her as original as possible, still has original wheels and chrome etc - had to ditch the after market pipe as it was grotty (hence the Italian Busso system) , and paint was badly faded and needed a respray, but at 43 yrs old you musnt grumble. Basically she needed a lot of TLC and serious recommissioning.
Im not that skilled at "spannering" so found the Zed Thou not as daunting as the Z13 or CBX.

Tried to attach some pics of her at present (a couple of weeks away from being on the troad) and of last years project bike (for Kawboy John). Im struggling to attach pics but will try.

Sorry for the thread hijack John - but it took my mind off Corvid 19 for a few minute ;)
Cheers Tim
