Thing is...........it does not lock or stiffen the throttle grip in any way.........or not that I can find or work out........
The LARGE part just seems to turn the large spring that goes down inside the handlebar, and the SMALL one just tightens against the large one..........with no effect what so ever !
I agree the grips do feel quite comfortable and fit the hand well, but thats it !

Hope fully someone on here may have seen them in the past and know what its all about ?????

Yes it is a throttle lock. I expect it is quite old and no longer available. But there are lots of bar end throttle locks (google: motorcycle bar end throttle lock).

I have used them before. Properly adjusted you can roll off the throttle manually at anytime. It all feels perfectly natural to me. If I had a interstate trip planned I’d get another.

I’ll bet you are missing the friction disk that goes between the grip and the inside dial.

It would make sense if there is a part missing between the end of the grip and the large adjuster, as there is a good 3mm gap there no matter how its adjusted.

So maybe this is some kind of Basic Cruise Control type device..................?

Update.............these grips are made by Beston who seem to have a range of grips for older Jap and British bikes, but I cannot find any with the adjusters or spring contraption included.
