Here's a video of my latest project. I've done all the design and welding. The base bike is a 1979 KZ750 B4 Twin.

After this first ride I fitted a steering damper. I'll be welding up the exhaust system this week.
What do you think?

Very cool, seems like you've got tall gears on it. What is your final drive?

Are you going to fab up a rear cowling or fenders?

Hi Tyler,
The gearing is actually a bit lower than stock because the rear sprocket is larger while the tires are pretty close to the same diameter of the stock wheel and tire.
Yes I'll be fabing up some fenders and a rear deck with a Steam Punk theme.

My final drive is a DNA brand differential chain drive axle much like those that used to be used on the Harley servicars which were used by meter readers and ice cream vendors in the fifties.

Very cool, Bill. And I especially like the steampunk idea for the rear. And maybe all over the bike eventually? I have thought about using a shaft drive 1100cc Kawasaki Spectre bike to graft a small rear wheel drive car's axle to to do the same thing you have. I'm not much of a chain drive fan. And, those Toyota rear axles are a dime a dozen. Just need to be narrowed a bit while offsetting the pinion input to match the engine's output offset.
I'll be watching your project from time to time.

I have visions of Dr. Miguelito Loveless in the 1999 movie The Wild Wild West.

LMAO !! Go for it Bill. Can't wait to see the end result. It'll be the next Best in Show at the bike rally. Hilarious !!

Nice Bill,

I only learned about the steam punk movement just the other day. I knew things like that existed but didn't realize they had a name for it. Keep us posted!
