My Z13 persists in being a total swine: real shame as it is my ride of choice: anyway, I decided to buy another (hopefully more reliable) classic.
With an honest recognition of my basic spannering skills / limitations, I thought something a little easier to work on would be potentially less traumatic: so decision made I thought I would buy another Kettle / Water Buffalo.

It's a small world: turns out, a mate of a mate, who only lives 5 miles from me, had decided he wanted rid of his Kettle. Sometimes the planets align correctly: the bike was the model year and colour that I would have chosen, was in beautiful condition, and I am pleased to say is now tucked away in my garage.

Funny how things turn out sometimes.
Cheers Tim

Very nice Tonto, that's on my list of bikes I want to add to my collection. I am currently restoring the little sister to that , a '76 GT550. Can't wait to get her on the road.
Shame your 13 is giving you grief they are an awesome beast. Still any excuse to expand the collection :woohoo:
Restored an 1976 Suzuki GT550B

Ian, yes, I did have a Kettle, but sold it to a mate and then regretted it almost straight away
Nice to have a 2 Stroke to potter about on in my old age.

Torque59 - was not sure if used the Kettle Clinic forum (www.kettleclinic.co.uk/kcforum/viewforum.php?f=16)?? - there is a very active GT550 community.

Very nice example mate.

Iconic 70's two stroke beastie !!!

We will never see that era come round again or have large two strokes, so enjoy it and look after it.

Lovely !
