Hi Kel,

next time you get chance - the cable from the ignition pickups should come under the housing and along the top of the crankcase.

It will work just fine the way you have it but would probably be more prone to damage and knocks?

Well thanks for all the tips.
I went and bought another meter of new black rubber fuel line. Nice and soft too.
Ran straight out of the tap and across all carbs then into this neat little elbow filter and then under the carbs and up to the T fitting.
Gunna make up a small clamp to hold the filter to the motor but I am really happy with the result.
Gee this was a poor design.

this looks like an elect fuel pump above the carbs?

Yep that's a 12v fuel pump you can find them pretty easily on ebay for like 20 bucks :).
