i guys

as the weather is well (actually is is too warm to ride) I tried to awake the beast that had been hibernating under the cover in the garage.

Well, the good thing has been: she was still there. I put in the battery, connected everything neccessary and tried to awaken her. That did not work. Of course not, I had forotten to open the petcock.
A quick turn and the issue started. Fuel leaking, drop by drop.

A quick test showed the petcock is OK, so I spent the next two hoers on my way to buy some fuel-hose. Took the one with a 9.3 inner Diameter.Replacing the old hose did not solve the issue, so I fixed the ends with hose-clamps.

Did I buy a hose thats too big ? Would the 8mm have been the better one ?

Thanks for input,

Holger

PS: She runs well, roads are waiting for me.

I use 5/16 fuel line which is 8mm I believe. It is very difficult to wiggle it on and off the fittings. I still use clamps to be safe. Don't want a hose coming off and spraying my hot engine and my legs with fuel.
