Here's an 8 minute video on Molasses/ rust removal.

Uses 9 parts water with 1 part molasses. This guy talks about the experience. I did not have time to watch the whole video.

Here is another video using straight cider vinegar. As with all of these home remedies it depends on how much time you have. I think the 3 week molasses brew may be a bit too long for most people.

I wonder if he could have cut it some with distilled water?

The vinegar seems to react quicker at removing rust, per this video below.

The Archoil AR5100 seems to remove the rust even faster than the cider vinegar.

As stated before, these are for using non caustic natural solutions, and without media blasting.

I have used Molasses many times to get rust of a panel.
My father used it in the 60s to get the rust from vintage car parts, last time I used it was to remove the rust from the tank of an R80 BMW bike. Its not aggressive but you need to remove the part from the vat every 24 hours and scrub it then place it back in the mix.
Good for panels on cars because sandblasting work hardens them and cracking can occur much more easily.
The good old Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is also good for rust removal
Phosphoric acid will also work well but converts the rust to Iron phosphate which forms small scales and will keep clogging the filter, it's used more for surfaces that need painting in marine use.
