I have a '79, one each inlet, at the top, there are bolts blocking the holes to balance your carbs, I put in some "proper" Kawasaki brass nipples on 1, 3 and 6 and use those, can swap them around if I want, when finished with the balance job I just put some silicon caps on the ends of the nipples, but that's me, don't know about an '82.
after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF

If you have the US Model it will be slightly different, I think because of the 'Clean Air System' but not sure. The bolts you are looking for are marked 'C' in the following diagram. kza13 and myself tend to use only three vacuum connections to synchronise. I have the A5 model which is essentially the same as the A4 1982.

Hey Pete, every now and then my bike would backfire and one time it blew the rubber cover off the nipple and I couldn't work out why it was running rougher than usual. I suspect your bike runs way smoother than mine though. ;)

Do you guys check all 6 inlets?
Since there is no means of adjustments between 1&2 3&4 5&6 I don't see the point.
