...and it did it again. Even with gas cap vented, e.g. not closed, propped open. I don't understand how the petcock only leaks some of the times. That tank sat on my bench full of gas, vented, and not one drop for 2 weeks. Put it on the bike and instant crankcase gas flood. Sigh.

Off to Pingel or Suzuki.

What's the opinion of using the Suzuki petcock, vacuum?

Hi,
I had a flooded crankcase once, after that I installed a simple manual on-off valve to the fuel line between the original petcock and the carbs. I keep the original in reserve position. End of problem.

It could be the float valves are becoming unseated.
The float bowls have internal overflow and if float valve becomes unseated from a small piece of dirt for example the float bowl will flood into the crankcase and airbox.
I have one of these as a safeguard.

I believe what metalguru was intending to say was the bowls DO NOT have an over-flow and this is why the cylinders can flood.

Suzuki vacuum petcock ??????????? , I have a Kawasaki vacuum petcock installed, forget what model it's off but it fits straight on, there's a thread somewhere on here about which one to get, cheers Pete.

that kawasaki replacement fuel tap looks ideal, unfortunately i cannot find a thread with any details on it so if anyone can I.D i would be grateful
