As well as owning & riding a 1300 as my favourite bike, I also enjoy building Chops.
I have actually built two 1300 engined chops which are in my Gallery.
The last Chop I built I completed in 2012 & was a 1980 Suzuki GSX1100 Engined Chop which
had an 1170 Big Bore Motor & went like stink !
It took me nearly 2 years to build this one as EVERYTHING was hand built by me, even the LED handlebar switch which took 2 months to complete alone. Finished in Shelby Mustang Stripes & 59 Caddy rear LED lights to create a real Old Hot Rod style this chop was 9 feet long & very low.
A couple of photos below & a link to the build project on YouTube for anyone interested.

Turn up the volume as the soundtrack is cool too ! Its a real Old Skool type chop which is not everyone's taste but I love them.

Wow :woohoo:

This one as well as both of the 13's that are in you Gallery look very good according to my opinion. For me this is very exceptional as neither the German nor the Swiss regulations would allow to bring this on the road, I always try to imagine their faces if I would turn up with somehting like this. Iam convinced I would be shoot straight away, mabe granting me a last cigarette ...

Carry on, it is definetely Special and People will eithe rlike it or hate it, but it is definetely not boring or Standard which is most important to me.

Again, big respect.

Holger

PS: On a Rally in the Netherlands I once met a guy with a 13-chop which had been made in the UK, that has not been you you, hasn't it ?

Holger,

Thanks..............

I do get into Europe now & then on my bikes, last time to the Nurburgring with my 3 sons & mate on bikes & in fast cars.
I have not done the trip on one of my chops (it would kill me riding that for with no rear shox) but it could well have been one of my choppers as they were both sold to guys who do good miles ?

Hey Pete,

That bike is sure a beautiful machine. Do you still own it?

Gotta wonder though, with that seat, when you whacked the throttle did you ever get the feeling that you were hanging off the grips with your legs and feet pointed straight backward?

Congratulations on the Build!

Bill............which is the reason I no longer own it !!

I sold it to a bloke in a Chapter in the south of England sometime ago.

As with many chops, they look great but you sacrifice a lot of comfort for looks. It got to the point my back just could take the abuse of no rear suspension & it had to go.

The last Z1300 Chop (SKULLDUGGERY) was far better as it was sprung at the front & back. Should never have sold that one.
