My bike sat for 17 years while I went truck for my self and Honda so when I got to to her it was a complete rebuild except for the motor. The bike now has 4100 miles on it . yes you read that right only 4100 mile. I got it new from a dealer in Columbus , Ohio. She was only the 3 one sold in Columbus at the time cost was 5200.00. My biggest problem has been the gas tank, even stored in the warm in the house the tank went to hell hole and pin holes all over it. Finding a tank with out any rust in it is impossible so rather than take on any one else's problems I took my apart and fiber glassed it inside and out sealing all the holes and put it back together and put a liner in it.

Hi WR,

I suspect that there are quite a few low mileage 1300's out there. My 81 just turned 7K.

Good to see you've got yours back together. Does that his/hers seat lower the operator's seat, compared to stock?

Yes that is a sattlemans seat made for the 1300s and you do sit lower and it rides nice. Mine needs to be recovered its cracking. Its as old as the bike. You can still get the seat but you got to do some shopping around. They still make it for the bike.
