I have been busy with my 1300, and now I can start assembling or I can strip the frame completely for new coating. Battery acid caused the issues, so now I can either start assembly or strip further.... I have to replace the oil seal on the drive shaft as there's an oil leak on the motor. Is it a lot of work to remove the engine from the frame? Can it be done alone or which methods can I use to remove it?

your frame definitely needs attention. Having it powder coated would be really nice. failing that, an epoxy paint or 2K paint would be my second choice.

I pulled the engine out of mine by myself. It's a bit of a handful but doable.

I pulled my engine by myself, also. Basically as the manual describes. Used a strap and small hand winch (come-along) clamped to a floor-joist. Was actually relatively easy.
If I recall correctly, the engine weighs in at 235 lbs.

I think I will start stripping the frame as soon as I have assembled the carbs. I can't have too many small parts all over the place.... at least I can move parts into the house, and not stripped parts and spares..... Just a bit of planning then things will run smoothly.

The whole bike had got cap screws, and no original screws on the motor... where can I buy a standard screw set to replace the cap screws?

IIRC, they originally came with socket head cap screws - is that what you meant?

Yes, like the clutch cover has got all allen key cap screws, i want to replace it with original screws or at least original looking screws.
