At last some progress on my Z1300 A5. The bike had been flooding back through the carburettor into the airbox then all over the ground. Very annoying. So off with the carbs on the weekend (wow they come off easily, probably the best access of any of my bikes) and a strip down and clean. Found the float bowls had lots of crap in them so cleaned that out, took out the float needles and cleaned the seats and check the needle condition. All back together and viola - no more leaks. Now just runs like a pig so need to tune it and set idle speed. She is backfiring at idle so will also be checking mixture screws. I do love the 3 carb set up so easy to work on as distinct from my CBX with its 6 carbies (what were they thinking????)
