Hi all
thought id add this in here as some may not see in the Talk to me section
in case anyone has considered alternative brake setups for their standard forked KZ or Z
you can read in a bit more detail in other section but basically i have altered the forks to take Brembo 4 pot calipers
i believed it would look better than horrible conversion mounting brackets, and from Kiwi $ point its pretty expensive .
in the advent some one would ever want to swap this back to Factory spec its a pretty easy process to reverse
pic one you can see drawing of where old holes where
pic 2 shows new product painted 2K ready to reassemble, will put pics up when on bike calipers mounted

Hi all
have not done any updates on the work ive done on the old girl for a while
so thought id drop in some of the things ive done since last writing
as you may have seen in the BIKE PROJECTS area under Fork and Brake mods, i have changed all the internals of the forks and altered the caliper mount Lugs to Run 4 pot Brembo brakes.
so they are altogether and back on the bike and fitted up with some one off braided lines.
i have fitted after market Alloy bars,Domino single cable throttle(presently making cable) have Domino accompanying left block just need to get off my butt to sort wiring and mount.
engine has been re shimmed and running beautiful, with a new set of carbs.
so cpl pics
1 & 2 the gold units are Emulators fitted with a new set of 100KG springs and a spacer to take up short fall in stanchion length.
3 brembos fitted up on tubes (yes i know im missing axel bolts) had to use Titanium on calipers so waiting same for Axel X2
4 altered brake line joiner to allow line to feed in from top instead of the 2 lines on the right
ill drop some other pics with other stuff done/doing later

Well tis that time of year again
i would like to offer up to all a very merry xmas from NZ
may all your drinks be wet the rides dry and full of memories!.
im in for a Op on 21st so i got my dream, a accommodation package(hopefully room with a view) in the local hospital.
then hopefully ill get back to work on the KZ1300 and my recently acquired Z1300. ( yeah i didnt learn buying the first )
i have to rip the head off the Z1300 and track down some injection, bring her back to original, 1984 from Australia
on a side note can any one tell me, the front rear master cylinder kits run different part #, but does any one know if the front can be used in the rear ?
and if anyone hears about injection stuff going at a reasonable price i would appreciate the heads up.
merry xmas all
