6cylinder, what is the little black "box" under the intake runner in the second pic, right side? Any idea what the bike's total weight is as pictured?
Gotta say, your's has inspired me to do something similar to my '85, plus adding a sidecar and blacking out everything like Lucasind did to his. Might lower it about 3-4 inches, too. With a sidecar you don't have to worry about scraping pipes! And, lowering makes it take right hand corners better with an empty hack. Are those straight pipes or do they have baffles in them. Would love to hear the details of how you eliminated so much electronics. No instruments and no tank-top computer sure simplifies things!

the little black box is a vacume canister for the smog ,just havnt removed it yet. voyagers weigh 950 pounds this bike is down to540 pounds. the pipes are the stonk system just puuled the mufflers and added those tips. has a real nice sound

Now I like that am wondering why, must be because you have taken all the touring rubbish of it (Rubbish in my mind, not trying to offend the Voyager owners) and turned it back into what it should have been in the first place with a difference. Keep it going it looks the business

I have always wanted a 79 kz 1300 could not find one stumbled across my first 83 voyager for 100.00 so I bought it then I found the 86 voyager for 400.00 because the faring was stolen and decided to strip it down to a sport bike, dont like all the touring rubbish as well. now I also have an 85 voyager I picked up for 300.00 so I plan to do the same to it.

Lol good old USA a wealth of parts and bikes for very little money, in fact you couldn't get a half decent body kit over here for $400. You lot are spoilt
