Hi guys

I need to admit it took me a long time to learn about the different models and specialties around the KZ1300 and just for fun I would like to put up a riddle:

I might have mentioned the Japanese guy I got to knwo via the web and he recently restored a KZ1300. I need to say he did an outstanding job, the bike looks perfect and as if it is coming just out of the showroom:

www.geocities.jp/kz1300_japan/prototype-restoration2.html

My question:

Aiming for perfect original appearance, what detail is not perfect on the photos as per above link. It is just one minor detail, do you notice it ?

Waiting for your suggestions

regards,

Holger

He's missing the horn cover and the airbox covers are not chrome.

Didn't the KZs come with the smaller fuel tank, the Zs with the larger one?

@ Bill:

no, the A1 came without horn covers and the the airbox covers in chrome are onyl from the A3 on.

@ Phil

you are right, however looking at the pics I believe this is the small fuel-tank. FOr the riddle lets assuem it is.

Have another guess.

Holger

Did the KZ models not come with the US Speedo (85mph) whereas the Z models had the 160mph speedo ?

On the smaller fuel tank the Kawasaki badge wasn't affixed to a chrome plinth, the badge was affixed straight to the tank ;)
