Used a couple of sockets. It worked.
x

Put inner piece in freezer for an hour, heated aluminum outer piece to 325F in oven.
Tapped into place using hammer and special Kawasaki fitment tool <socket>.
All done!

Did you calibrate those tools before and after doing the work? it is the nuclear way.

A little off topic but I was the one who created the pre and post verification (calibration) process for critical or high rad work. The instrument would be tested before use (prever) at test points the user would be measuring then when work completed, the instrument would be post verified at the same points. This 'bracketing' of work ensured that should the instrument later be found out of tolerance, the critical use job would not be impacted.

And, yes, the hammer passed both pre and pst ver!

2023-04-18 Kz1300 Water Pump Reassembly Gasket removed. Plastic 'razor' blade is cat's meow.
Old rotating seal removed. It was easily pried out.
x

Cleaned O-Ring landing. Parker O-Ring grease. New O-Ring from z1300.de

New transfer tube, circlip, o-ring. From z1300.de

OEM seal (top two pieces) are supposed to be on piece, like bottom pic.

All clean ready for install. Took care to keep acidic fingers from sealing surface (white area).

Gasket from z1300.de not 'purrrfect' but will work.
