Come on guys, any comments?

they look a lot better than some I’ve seen and a good price too. They come up occasionally here in GB but at around £600! I’ve got a spare set I could do with selling now my bike is behaving itself

Come on guys, any comments?

I didn't comment because I don't like to "Judge a book by its cover" If the internals are as nice as the externals, then yes, it looks like you got a good deal. You decided to send them out and pay to have them refurbished? One Viton o-ring for the needle seat, a carb base gasket, a tube of Autosol polish to clean all the brass internals and a can of Lacquer Thinner to dissolve the gum varnish and Bob's your uncle.
The only concern I have with these carbs is the Nitrophil floats and their low tolerance to Ethanol in our gasoline so they will eventually sink. Brass floats are the fix for that.
Then there's the minor mods like the choke air mod and enrichment valve delete and I doubt your carb guy knows anything about those mods.

I hope you will be  happy with the carbs after you get them back At $350 purchase price  + $600?? for refurb you'll be at $950?? for a set of carbs?

Those are my thoughts,

KB, I get your thoughts.
Really, I do.

Sending the carbs to Wired George for 750 USD was a stretch for me too.
It's ALOT of money. That I work hard for. And the income is NOT what it used to be.

Then again, I sent my CBX carbs to Jack Wagner at Old School Carbs.. .
and they are freaking magnificent! New internals, diaphragms, jets, cleaned, polished.. ~900 USD IIRC.
So worth the $$ as the CBX is, simply, transformed.

I maybe projecting that experience with Wired George and his KZ carb rebuilds.
Sincerely hope I'm not throwing good money after bad, I guess time will tell.

Jack Wagner is not interested in KZ carbs.. Neither is Mike Nixon, who recommended Wired George Lesho.

My promise to the community is I will report the truth.
Good or Bad or In-between.

Update - I didn't unpack the carbs from the seller. Did notice that 2 slides are stuck in the 'off of bottom' position.
Hopefully not a big issue, but time will tell.

This forum won't let me copy and paste pics from my website. It throws a 'too many external links' error.

The carbs came back and look great!
