Come on guys, any comments?
I didn't comment because I don't like to "Judge a book by its cover" If the internals are as nice as the externals, then yes, it looks like you got a good deal. You decided to send them out and pay to have them refurbished? One Viton o-ring for the needle seat, a carb base gasket, a tube of Autosol polish to clean all the brass internals and a can of Lacquer Thinner to dissolve the gum varnish and Bob's your uncle.
The only concern I have with these carbs is the Nitrophil floats and their low tolerance to Ethanol in our gasoline so they will eventually sink. Brass floats are the fix for that.
Then there's the minor mods like the choke air mod and enrichment valve delete and I doubt your carb guy knows anything about those mods.
I hope you will be happy with the carbs after you get them back At $350 purchase price + $600?? for refurb you'll be at $950?? for a set of carbs?
Those are my thoughts,
