Thanks that's probably why I like it. It appeals to my OCD tendencies...
I'm getting better at dealing with carbs with a very delicate hand. I just try not to install things like pilot jets, right after doing my cars wheel nuts up. You kind of have to re set your parameters a little.
Thankfully the other 2 carbs didn't have any snapped off metal anywhere. All the carbs look to have been messed with recently. They were reasonably clean and all have a few brand new parts here and there, and the main jets had been polished/cleaned up to a shine. so someone had been there not long before me and given up.
I'd put money on the stuck pilot jets being the reason, plus of course the snapped metal thing. There were some mashed screws on the bowls and Bracket, probably from not using JIS screwdrivers I guess..
I did ask about the history of these carbs from the PO but he didn't seem to know anything.
