Thank you, Ted. I assume with the Pingle I'd have to do some modification to the tank? I prefer to keep everything as close to stock as possible. Not necessarily NOS, but if there is a way to put a compatible replacement in that doesn't requite shaving the tank, that would be ideal.

I should have done a little more research on the Pingle. I guess this is the adaptor plate for the kz750/1000/1300

I should have been more thorough as well when I suggested it, but it's been some time since I looked at Pingle. I just remembered them and thinking that I would probably go with them if mine crapped out.

They are available from the usual suppliers. In this case Zed-Parts,

I replaced the fuel tap on my 79 A1 with this from Z power
