Hi

I am Ralph and I reside in a small village in Somerset in the UK. I'm a massive Zed head (they're just Zs in the UK not KZs). Most of my bikes are based on the Z1, but no collection of Zeds would be complete without a thirteen :)

I have wanted one for thirty one years until last year when I finally scratched the itch.

Mine is a 1983 A3 which was originally prepped by the famous French endurance racers Godier and Genoud. Sadly one of the partners wiped himself out testing the original owner's Z750 turbo which they were also prepping for him. My bike started off life in France but also resided in the Middle East for a while before being brought to the UK. Sadly the last owner was a prat and allowed this majestic machine to suffer the rigours of our inclement climate, without protection. One day I will fully restore her, but for the time being I want to ride her and sort all the niggles.

Last year I rode her to the Isle of Man for the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT where we had a ball :)

Hello Ralph:

Glad you are part of the forum.

How do you like that Sena Gear? I've had mine for a year now and it works well.

We, the wife and myself, have been using the Senas for years and have found them great. The only problems come when she doesn't make enough progress and is too many bends behind me.

We're not from the levels, and whilst the bottom of my village flooded, we were all right at the top of the hill :)

We did ride across the levels a couple of weeks ago and the flooding seems to have pretty much receded in the area we were riding through.
