Bought a new Z1300A5 in 1983 for my travels around Oz with my construction/mining work, here it is one day old.

Went out with my mates to run her in, trying to keep up with this lot.

Some of my travels in the outback of Western Australia/South Australia/Queensland.

This section of road back in those days was 280klms of gravel between Alice Springs and Cooper Pedy, the 13 handled it well.

That's a metal cattle grid behind the 13, l hit one these too fast, nearly went over the handle bars.

Who needs knobbies?

Sold the 13 on a new BMW K100RT, BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE. RUBBISH

My current bikes are 1975 Z1B, bought 10 years ago, previous owner raked it, 16" rear Hog wheel, heavily braced, l had to rebuild nearly ever thing as it was sitting in shed for a long time, fitted a 1045cc big bore, the paint was in good contion so have not touched that, rechrome etc...

Just finished my 1976 Z900A4 in favourite colour, was half a motor with correct frame only, after 9 years finished to original.

I've had this 1980 Z1R D3 for 6 years, rebuilt some components but was in good condition.

Fitted Gear Sack bags for travels.

My next one is a dog 1977 Z1000A1 to make a Graham Crosby/Moriwaki look-a-like.

Paint set done, need to pull my finger out and finish.

Then will do to original my late 1973 Z1 900 Jaffa, which l only have a motor and NOS frame, have been collecting many parts.

Then if l'm still alive l would build my dream bike, a copy of Robert Bolduc's ZRX1300, simple stunning.

Does anyone know if there is build of this bike?

Thank you.

Great photos. How many miles did you do on the 1300? Was it reliable?
Fantastic job on that Z900. I just love the shape of the fuel tank on those.

Like Aerial0 said Charlie "Keep your pants on" If you get to excited, you might have an accident.

Robert Bolduc is a frenchman from eastern Ontario and used a translator program to post his build so it's a little light in detail but here it is.
