Has anyone got a suggestion as to where this hose can be purchased or how to rectify a busted front fork balance hose. All fittings are ok except the hose which unfortunately has got caught and jammed in the steering lock and has ruptured it. Any suggestions are most welcome.

Remove the hose and take it to a hydraulic hose fabrication shop. They should be able to duplicate your fittings (they are common in the industry) and either keep your hose OEM in neoprene or for a small additional charge, upgrade it to a Teflon hose with steel over-braid

Should be around $50.00 or less. You could purchase the tools and hardware but with it only being one hose, you may be better off at having one made.

The over-braided hose should not dry-rot like the factory one.

If you buy the hardware to crimp these fittings, you can go into the brake hose business and recoup some of your costs. lol.

Dad got a local brake shop to make up a new hose, it fitted well and should be good replacement.
