I only mention this because it happened to me at a Kawi dealer no less
I guess over the years they have changed the drive side of the wheel rim and when they mounted the new tire they put it on backwards (rotation direction wise) and so had to dismount it and reverse it again. So even if you are doing it yourself either take a picture of the direction arrow (on sidewall) against the rim or mark on the rim the direction of rotation.

Hope this may save you some time.

I've had my tyres put on the rim the wrong way round several times. After the first time I started to put masking tape on the rim with a great big black marker pen arrow and have still had the tyre put on the wrong way around.

It's very frustrating when you go to back pick the wheel up and then have to leave it with them again while they put it right.

I used to get a motorcycle dealer to fit the tyre for me but as they couldn't balance the wheel with the new tyre on I now just take the wheel and tyre to local tyre specialist who usually has to strip disks off to get the wheel on the balancer but I get the tyre fitted ad balanced at the same time.

Be careful of the seven hex rotor bolts, four came out fairly easily, the other three would not budge. I had used a new / sharp 6mm bit. Had to grind off the heads flush to the rotor (carefully)and was able to remove the last three with a pair of vice grips. Each of the three had corrosion underneath.

This is a great time to discuss the use of "Copper Anti-Seize" on certain nuts and bolts on motorcycles.

Copper Anti-Seize prevents dis-similar metal corrosion and for those fasteners that are directly exposed to the elements (Road Spray) for the next time they have to be removed.

Works great for spark plugs too.

Guess the majority of the shaft-powered cycles have the shaft on the left side of the wheel, that is why most dealers mount the tyre the wrong way.

As you've said: have an eye on it ...
