Or don't do as I did...put a seal in upside down...leaked on compression - DOH ! :lol:

Those sealmates are AWESOME! Fixed my leaky fork seals just like that! $5 later lol.

I made a modification to my dust cap. I cut a piece of foam that fits under each and soaked it in oil then squeezed it out. Hoping it will catch the bugs and dirt before it goes into the seals. Every few months I'll pull the cap and replace them.

The amount of crap under those dustcaps was crazy. The gap was filled almost to the top. There was NEVER any kind of basic service on this poor old machine.
