I would if I didn't have to cut them by hand. It took a while to cut them on a band saw and shape them with a sander. To make any quantity they should be cut with a water jet. I could model them and provide a drawing and .dxf file should anyone want to make a bunch of them that way.

I'm not sure if they are still available but I bought blanking plates and covers without holes from Kawasaki.

They were listed on the parts diagram for the Canadian model I think?

I have a CNC Plasma Torch. Aluminum is a bit more difficult to cut but I'm willing to try. Would 1/4" thick aluminum be sufficient?

1/4" aluminum should be plenty strong.
