Oil in Alternator cavity area on my Z1300 8 years 2 months ago #11135

When I removed the alternator cover there was oil in there.
Is it normal that oil is in there? I cant see the purpose of oil being in there as the only moving part is the rotor which is fixed to the end of the crank.HELP!!

Ive definitely got oil in my A4 because it weeps out through the rubber bung in the back of the casing, very annoying.

It's normal
17 years a Z13 owner at present 3 x A1's and an A4
