Hi Guys
i am in the process of trying to get a z1300 up and running, i had it started and running fairly well a couple of weeks ago but when i have tried to start it recently i seem to have lost the spark, i have a spare cdi and tried that but still no joy even using easy start dosnt seem to get any sort of response
any ideas

If you haven't already done so, check the coils. The originals are prone to cracking.

Check switch under seat, has to be horizontal, kill switch short, clutch safety switch, main ignition on and tell tales working?, fuses, power to coils ??, usual stuff
after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF

Hi
i have power so assume its not to do with the kill switch or the power switch beneath the side panel, also i have no spark anywhere so if it were a coil i assume it would fire on the other cylinders

if you have a 79 it maybe the pickups on the timing advancer they were a weak point on the 79's I understand.
Are you getting a pulse signal when you crank it over?
