Has anyone used a manual fan switch to stop the cooling fan from staying on when the bike is not running? Or wired the fan switch to the ignition switch so the fan turns off when the ignition switch is off?

With respect, is that wise? The reason the fan still runs when the ignition is off is to get rid of residual heat. You're at risk of cooking the engine if you bypass that feature IMO :)

The temperature is always at the midway mark on the temp gauge when the bike comes to a stop. No harm done if the fan is turned off at that point.

Not a good idea, once stopped it will get hotter as not able to dissipate the heat it cuts in on shutdown for a reason. Don't create yourself a problem

I know I'm not the only one to put in a low temperature fan switch. I'm just trying to find out what those persons did to stop the fan from running once the engine has cooled below the normal temperature mark. I've seen a thread about using a low temp switch, I just can't find it in the forums. Thanks for the advice from you guys.
