Anyone tried these? It appears these are bolt on ready, no alterations.

Hi.
Take a look in the FAQ section under coils and replacement and does and don'ts. Interesting reading, plus explain how to do it.

Cheers Dave.

The eBay listing doesn't appear to list the impedance of the primary coil.

They do look like a bolt on replacement. If they are close to 1.5 ohm then you have to leave the ballast resistors installed. If they are around 3 ohm then you have to ditch the ballast resistor.

I use Dyna green 3 ohm coils on mine (no ballast resistor) and get fantastic spark. Other people swear by Accel coils (see FAQ) and others recommend a similar Honda coil with removable HT leads.

Yes I've used them (or one) and they are a direct replacement for the originals - so you keep the ballast resistor. You'll need to fabricate connecting wires though as the originals are soldered to the coils.

cheers

These coils are direct replacements for our bike. I bought threee and didn't need anything else except some crimp connectors for the 2 small wires which I cut off the original coils.
