My 1983 ZN1300 might have two bad stators. One is confirmed and the other is not looking good.

The left one is a 19mm and the right is the 23mm. Looked online and cannot find a store that sells them for less that $650 each!

Is there any place that sells them for reasonable prices in the US?

Clarification here first. Do you mean 19cm instead of 19mm?

There are lots of stators for both the large and smaller alternators on the ZN1300 on eBay. Just browse the listings very carefully to see which ones seem to be made the best and at a reasonable price. $650 is WAY too much. Most are available for a bit over $100. Spend some time studying what's out there on eBay to get a "feel" for which ones are cheaply made and which ones are nice, high quality ones. Some just look like they were globbed together and then a bunch of epoxy smeared over them by a mud-dauber. Look for neatly wound coils where each coil winding lays next to the previous and not a bunch of hap-hazardly criss-crossing coils. A machine-wound coil will have the coils laid neater next to each other than most hand-wound ones unless it is a very high quality coil that costs a lot. most hand-wound coils are done quickly and the windings tend to cross over each other making the build-up too much and some coils sometimes stick out too far and have a tendency to be rubbed during installation, making them arc to the rotor.
The ones I saw that I would buy were a bright yellow color.

Not sure what stator you're looking for, but I have an extra stator off a 1980 that (to my knowledge) works just fine. There's a few extra bullet connectors in the output wires, but nothing that can't either be left alone or simply re-soldered.

This would be the right-side-of-the-crankshaft stator. Not sure if they changed too much in the later model years, but I figured I'd throw it out there. I have no use for it, and it's just taking up space.
