Need to get power to the coils. the wiring is mess. each coil has the two wires off of them. which is + and which -? each coil wires are different colors. Can anyone make sense out of the pics and steer me in the right direction on where/how to pic up power?? (left side red/green) (center red/black) (right blue/red)Right now the wires attached to them go nowhere and end just outside photo.

All pink wires are the negative feed to coils. Green wire to feed positive to 2-5, black positive to 1-6, blue to feed positive 3-4.
All pink wires should be connected to the yellow if you've removed the ballast resistor.
Looking at the wiring in your photo's been messed around with big time?

OK, I'm missing something here. Page 241 and 242 of the service manual show testing ignition coils and on these 2 pages shows a simplified diagram of the circuit for the test. the positive side of the battery is feeding the ballast resistor which is then feeding the coil, so it would follow that the "feed " from the ballast would feed the + terminal of the coil??

My beast is in pieces right now, otherwise I'd be turning on the ignition and checking the yellow wire at the ballast to see if it's 12 volts positive or ground.
