Just picked up an 82 kz1300, drove it 80 miles home. bike was filthy. I mean just filthy. So I gunked her down and pressure washed with seat and tank off. Dried it best I could with the air hose. Now I have no spark. (pulled plug to check) I checked all the wiring and nothing looks out of place. What cold I have done to it? Turns over, everything else works.

My best suggestion would be to have a look at the coils. These bikes are notorious for cracked coils. If nothing else remove the coils and check for cracks on the barrel of the coil. I'm in the middle of a major restoration and I found cracks on 2 of the 3 coils about 3" long and 1/8" wide. Needless to say they've been replaced.

First off: Welcome to KZ1300.COM!
Secondly: Don't pressure wash motorcycles. You'll drive water into every crevice. If you don't short out something, as you probably did, you will most assuredly cause long term corrosion where you least want it.

Welcome to one of the best forums for the Z1300. Take a gander at the FAQ section, a great source of info. And plenty of advice from members who are willing to help.
