Can you just imagine a new, modern, Z13? I would be the first in line, cash in left hand, soul in right hand!

Dont hold your breath with a new retro 1300/6 lads................

Kawasaki never sold anywhere near the amount of the 1300's they wanted or needed to as it was so expensive compared to other bikes on sale. It was a difficualt bike to sell at the price.
They had to virtually give them away with massive extra discounts and extended credit terms to dealers just to get them to take showroom models, and dealers were left with new ones for over a year that they could not sell........despite the next years model coming along.
It was the same with the CBX1000.

Severe case of dealers fingers burned !

It would be lovely, but unfortunately very very few people would or could afford to buy it as a new bike.

I'm just imagining what modernized inline six would be like. Fuel injected, computerized engine management and all the other perks would make 200+ hp a cinch and be smooth as silk besides. Supercharge or turbo it and your easily looking at 300+. Look at the modern V-max.

Like others say the market will not be big enough to justify bringing it back. Its fun to dream.

Didn't they already do this 25 years ago with the Zephyr 550, 750 & 1100?
