hello touringguy.

Thanks for the candid and honest answer. We'll all keep on keepin'-on !

With reference to my other business: Developing and manufacturing medical equipment and supplies:
The Mikuni Carburetor Cleaning and Flushing Dialysis Machine

(That's the M.C.C.F.D.M. to you lay-people),

continues to be a work in progress :woohoo:

Cheers, Doctor Scotch

OK, you guys have browbeat -- I mean, talked -- me into it. If I'm still having my flooding problem when spring comes, I'll pull the carbs! Thanks for your help and moral support!

All potential buyers of these old girls should understand that you have to have either lots of money, or the time, skills, tools and willingness to do lots of work to keep them running.

Good to hear you will tackle the job yourself! The old saying fits in here, too; "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!".

It's just too bad that all of us sixers don't live on the same block! Can you imagine the noise there would be, and all of the rubber on the road at one end of the block?!

#1) Resistance is futile - You will be assimilated !

#2) I love the smell of burning jet-fuel in the morning, the smell of burning rubber is 2nd, &

#3) Wish I thought of the "glass-filter" comment !

The way I see it? I probably know more about how this particular bike works than ANY of the repair shops around me.

Sure, the basics are the same, but the quirks of a liquid-cooled 6 cylinder with 3 twin-barrel CV carbs that was built 35 years ago are pretty significant.
