Is there a replacement fuel filter out there?
Maybe another type that people have had success with, or procedure for cleaning the old filter.
Thanks.

The original appears to be still available. CMSNL list it, and MCG in Germany.

I can't find them now but I know I have seen some similar to stock on eBay. Some searching would probably result in something that would work. There are several that are similar enough to it as well at regular auto parts stores. Purolator for instance sells part number F44804 which I was going to run but went for a regular 180 filter that was in stock.

I wouldn't get too wrapped up in getting something that fits perfectly. If it fits and has the right inlet and outlets, it's good! Since it is before the fuel pump you don't have to worry about if it will handle any pressure.

Yea he makes a good point too. Some filters will work easier than others but if it works it works. I wouldn't worry much about it besides finding one that you can make work. Also since no one has said it yet don't bother trying to clean the one on it as they are not reusable.
