Yeh I only use 3 gauges cause they are really 3 x 2 throated cards, not 6 individual ones, (I might mix them up a bit, put one tube on number 1 and then 4 and then 5, and different next time)in theory adjusting one rod should adjust 2 throats (in theory) that's if the wear and stuff isn't too bad on the shafts, also just watch when you adjust them you don't go too tight on the adjuster as they are little ball joints with spring loaded cups, don't want them binding up, make sure they move free after working on them.

Thanks Kza.

I asked this question as part of another thread but where can I get an additional screw tip for the intake. I only have 2 on the bike.

I am pleased to report I have finally achieved success. My idle is at 1000 rpm when hot and the throttle no longer hangs.

The carbs were quite badly out of sync. A little turn here and there and I finally have it where it needed to be.

I took it for a nice long ride. Throttle response off the mark is much better as well. I am a very happy camper.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this discussion along the way.
