Just picked up a K&N air filter KA-1350 for the beast and found that it's too wide by about 3/16". Called K&N and they will be looking into it. I seem to recall seeing that same issue posted somewhere before but can't put my finger on it. I thought the other individual called K&N and they made an adjustment to their drawings and then remade the filters. Could be I just got one of the filters made to the original drawing. Waiting to here back from K&N. I talked to one of their reps on the phone and he gave me the dimensions and the drawing calls for it to be 6-1/4" wide and this one is 6-7/16" wide

Hold your breath Houston, the filters coming (I hope)

It twas me who had the problem, lots of emails and they said they would look into it and send me a new free replacement, still waiting for that, been a lot of months now, they said their box they used for the measurements was bigger than mine and perhaps my opening had warped :-), yeh sure, if your talking to that rep again just mention that Pete from Australia is still waiting for the free one they promised me :-)

OK so Aus_z1300 had a problem and they just "sent him out a new one"? I got an email back from K&N and their engineering dept. is looking into it. KZA13 has been waiting since June of last year for a replacement and still hasn't got it.

AUS_ Z1300 who did you deal with?
