www.motorcycleproject.com/ by Mike Nixon.

I would suggest this fella has some "expert" knowledge.

Nothing on 1300's as you'll quickly see but the vast wealth of general information will keep you reading for hours as much of it applies to our1300's in general and some interesting comments regarding jetting, exhausts, carb issues, shaft-seals as well as common concerns and myths. Just to scratch the surface.

In my opinion, very informative and should be pre-requisite reading for most. Do take the time to click on to his multitude of topics. They are very well written "shop manual" quality articles with good quality pictures, clear descriptions and are a real treat to read.

I learned a lot in a few minutes. I found his section called: "Motorcycling's Sacred Cows" enlightening to say the least.

The man knows how to write. I cracked open a couple of his articles and they're quite good. Thanks for pointing these out Scotch.

Made this " mistake " myself. Mike doesn't think the use of automotive plug wires are a good idea on a Jap bike. Many , like myself have replaced the coils with Accel or Nology etc. and then used their spark plug wires as part of the upgrade. But these wires are not actually wire- and therefore not suited for a bike application !
I had originally bought the Nology Hot Wires to go along with the coils , but they played havoc with my new electronic ( Motogadget ) dashboard, so I went to a hotrod shop , bought some 8.5 mm wires and caps and made up my own.
Wonder if I still have the original wires that came with the bike.
